The Yaksa is inspired by the character Ravana, also known as Thotsakan in Thai famous literature. Ravana is a central figure in the Ramakien. He is depicted as a powerful demon king with ten heads, each representing different aspects of his personality.
In the story, Thotsakan performs a ritual to become immortal, granting him great powers and fearlessness of death. This made him invincible, as he believed that nothing could harm him since he couldn't die. This yantra is popular among both Thai and international tattoo enthusiasts, known for its versatile protective properties. Combined with the Thai words "Khong Kraphan" on the front of the shorts, which means signify invincibility, it symbolizes resilience against any harm or danger.
